09/02/ - Vision is expanding to serve you better
Posted By: Chad Heaton

Hello friends of Vision!

Vision is proud to announce exciting improvements to our company. We have expanded our software assurance abilities, added 2 new divisions to our company, now offer Treasury Services, and added 5 new employees to our team to ensure the success of these initiatives.

To better serve your software assurance needs we added Shane and Ryan earlier this year to focus on quality control. They also join Dave as our front line in answering your questions.

Toni, Pat, and ChadOur other significant proactive actions are the creation of our Professional Services and IT Divisions. We have hired 3 experts in their specialties to bring you accurate and accountable solutions, Toni Nelson, Pat Dieter, and Chad Heaton.

Toni will be the driving force for our Professional Services Division after serving as the Small City Specialist for 11 years at the Washington State Auditor's Office Small Cities Assistance Program. With the ongoing budget shortfalls and the growing State deficit, the Auditor's office scaled back the Small Cities Program. Vision and Toni are committed to ensuring that these services will be available to all cities and towns without limitation, just as they have been provided in the past. Toni brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Vision's Professional Services Division unmatched in our industry.

Pat will be heading up our IT Division, bringing over 25 years of IT experience in the local government software industry to Vision. We have heard so many times; "Can you tell me what we should buy?", "Can we buy it from you?", and "I wish I could just have you fix it.", now Vision has added our IT Division to assist with these solutions. Our goal is to increase the efficiencies of our customers by providing industry leading hardware, software, and service solutions that are second to none.

Chad will be heading up our client relations efforts for all divisions of our company. Chad brings 15 years of expertise to Vision, built working for the largest training and software companies in their market, the Bureau of Education and Research and Microsoft. Chad will be responsible for the accurate and timely communication of all information to you and to improve our visibility to our future clients.

Toni started September 1st, Pat on September 7th, and Chad joined our team on July 28th.

We are truly excited to bring you these new services and individuals!

2009 Users Meeting

Thank you everyone for another wonderful year at our annual Vision Conference in Leavenworth, WA.  We were very touched at your response to our efforts this year to bring training and information to all of you who support us.  Vision would not be here without all of you.

Our three day event started with workshops and training for anyone who wanted to attend and encompassed many aspects of our software.  The classes were instructed by the Vision team and we were pleased to hear that everyone came away with useful information to take back to their offices.  We will continue to make training through workshops a central part of our commitment to our customers.

The next two days were filled with wonderful presentations from our guest speakers.  Thank you to Toni Nelson, Ryan Carnathan, Spirit Doris, and Pat Dieter for your time and energy.  We covered many topics from BARS numbers to Disaster Recovery to Sensus Meters as well as revealing Vision Utilities and Cash Management for the first time.  Many ideas were given for the next few months of development with these new solutions and we are very excited to see these roll out to all of you.

As well as the events through the day, our yearly party at the Hutte was well attended and laughing was the energy of the evening.  Smiles were on every face and a drink (or two) was in every hand to cap the night with some merriment. We also had a group miniature golf event where everyone engaged in a little friendly competition before dinner.  Sadly Katzenjammers was replaced by a new restaurant called Katz Steakhouse, and even though service was sub par (under emphasized), everyone had a good time and a good meal.

We look forward to the years to come with all of you.  Thank you!

The Vision Team
